A Big Puppet Presents Ideals

A group of five women decided that they wanted to design and construct a large puppet that would represent the ideal Israeli woman. They claimed that this woman does not exist in their contemporary reality. They opted to work with foam rubber and built a twelve-foot tall rod puppet. Each physical aspect represented a trait that they felt was necessary to a female Israeli leader. The resulting character was named Israela. She came into being before the eyes of an enthralled audience, who whole-heartedly applauded her creation!
